An annual satisfaction survey of parents, students and staff is being conducted on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese this term. The survey is designed to gather feedback from parents, staff and students about our school and will be used to inform school improvement. Responses are confidential and individuals can not be identified.
The survey was launched via email on Monday and closes on 9 August 2019. You can access and complete the survey at the following link:
https://www.research.net/r/stfrancisofassisiparent2019
Please keep in mind that these surveys are about school improvement and are a great way in determining areas that we can do better. It can be quite hurtful when personal comments about certain staff members are included. The staff do gain access to all written comments and these personal statements can be counterproductive to the overall aim of the survey. Please think about the impact your comment may have before submitting it online.
A reminder that now we are in August all students must wear a hat when outside during school time.
Please label all hats clearly so that lost hats can be returned to their owners quickly and easily.

Lessons commence in Week 6 this term (Tuesday 27 August) and conclude in Week 5 in Term 4 (Tuesday 12 November) for a total of 10 lessons.
Each child must return the Permission Note and the swimming ability checklist no later than Friday 9 August 2019 so that appropriate class groups can be organised.
Uniform Free Day - Friday 9 August
On Friday 9 August (Friday Week 3), we will be having a Non-Uniform Day. This is another day that we are having in the lead up to the fete. The idea of these days is to get everyone involved in supporting this year’s major fundraiser for the school.
The children will be able to wear non-uniform. However, it must be warm, modest attire and appropriate for school. We ask that children wear shoes that are suitable for sports lessons. No thongs please! Children who are not suitably dressed will be asked to go home and change.
For the privilege of wearing non-uniform the children are asked to donate something to the Tombola Stall. Items may include jars/plastic containers of lollies, hair ties, marbles, 5 cent coins, water bomb balloons, small toy cars, beads and string, bath salts, popcorn, pkts of gardening seeds, teabags, small coloured pencils, crayons, and rubbers. For the fete to be successful we need the support of the whole school community.
If you are able to sponsor our fete with either a monetary contribution or by providing prizes or vouchers please contact our fete convenor Sandy Scensor for further information sandy.matthews@bigpond.com.
