Welcome to the Parent Memo for Term 3 Week 6.

Tomorrow morning we are holding our annual Father's Day Breakfast commencing at 7.30am in the school hall.

Tokens have been sent home to all families who have ordered and paid for their breakfast.  Please bring these tokens tomorrow morning in exchange for your breakfast.

Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to assist - we do need additional help on the morning, particularly for cooking on the BBQ from 8.00-9.00am.  Setup will commence from 7.00am with packup from 8.45-9.15am

2019 Australian Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to Jade Paterson and Ariella Paterson who represented the ACT at the 2019 Australian Cross Country Championships at Wollongong on the weekend.  The girls raced in the 3km event for 11 years girls.  

Tuggeranong Region Athletics Carnival

Congratulations to all the students who represented St Francis of Assisi Primary School at the Tuggeranong Region Athletics Carnival at Woden yesterday.  It was a fantastic day with all athletes giving their best on the track and field!

A huge thank you to Alicia Arnold for being our parent volunteer all day at the long jump pit.

Mr Smith will let you know in the coming week if you have qualified to represent Tuggeranong at the ACT Carnival on 10 September.

Attention Year 5 Families

Please be advised that the sports days for Year 5 have changed and will now be on Mondays and Thursdays.

What an amazing week it was, starting with the book parade and the children showing off their amazing costumes. 

Wednesday saw many faces come to the library for the Carnival book fair. Many books were purchased, but the item most wanted was the buzzing magnets.

Thank you to the St Francis community, we raised $1800 to buy new books and be able to update furnishings for the library. 

During the week teachers shared some of the award-winning books and created artwork, some of this artwork is hanging in the library. 

Thank you to everyone’s participation in book week, it is so nice to see children excited about books and reading.

You are invited to the St Francis of Assisi Family Movie Night on Friday 13 September at Limelight Cinemas in Tuggeranong!

We will have a private screening of the movie 'Ugly Dolls'.

Tickets are $10.00 per person or $17.00 for a ticket, choc top, small popcorn and small drink.

All children must be accompanied by an adult who has also purchased a ticket.

The preferred method of order and payment is through QKR!  Alternatively you can pay by cash or card at the front office.

All orders together with payment must be received no later than Friday 6 September 2019.  No late orders will be accepted.

Thank you to everyone who supported our RSPCA Cup Cake Day last Tuesday.

St Francis of Assisi Primary School raised $210.00 for the RSPCA which is a great result!

Entries are now closed for the Boorowa Touch and Netball Carnival and the 2019 Catholic Schools Netball Carnival.

Players who have registered will be placed in teams and further information will be given out closer to the carnivals which will be held as follows:

• Catholic Schools Netball Carnival - Saturday 19 October 2019 (Saturday Week 1 Term 4)
• Boorowa Touch and Netball Carnival - Friday 25 October 2019 (Friday Week 2 Term 4)

We are after a short act for our Twilight Fete on Friday 22 November from 4.00-8.00pm.

Please help us out by volunteering those hidden talents or by suggesting someone you know of who might be willing to help out.

We are not only looking for musicians, we are happy to have a wide range of talents and acts perform on the day. Please note this is not paid work.

A reminder that payments for Weeks 3 and 4 Before and After School Care statements are due this Friday. 

Payments for all Vacation Care statements are now overdue. Immediate payment of these statements is required to avoid late payment fees being applied.
