Swimming ON! Tuesday 17 September
Yesterday we notified families of students in Kinder to Year 4 that there would be no swimming lessons on Tuesday 17 September due to unforseen maintenance at the swimming pool. We have now been advised that the pool will not need to close for this maintenance to take place.
Therefore swimming will go ahead as normal on Tuesday 17 September.
We apologise for any confusion and thank you for your understanding.
Bank books brought to school last week (Week 7) have not yet been processed as our parent volunteers have been unavailable.
Banking will be processed next week and bank books will be sent home when this is complete. We apologise for the delay and thank you for your understanding.
Volunteers needed!
We are looking for more parent volunteers to join the school banking team. If you are willing and able to help out with school bankig on a roster basis please contact the front office and we can put you in touch with the coordinator.
Chief Ministers Reading Challenge 2019
It is the final week of the 2019 Chief Minister’s Reading Challenge with the Challenge concluding this Friday 13 September 2019.
All reading sheets need to be completed and handed into the library by Friday to be entered into the raffle draw for Scholastic book vouchers in Term 4.

Family Movie Night - Tomorrow!
Our family movie night is being held tomorrow evening at Limelight Cinemas in Tuggeranong.
Ticket sales are now closed and all families who purchased a ticket should have received their tokens and vouchers this week.
Thank you for your support of this event and we look forward to seeing you at the cinema tomorrow evening at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm screening of the movie 'Ugly Dolls'.
St Francis of Assisi Feast Day Celebrations
A reminder that our Feast Day is on next Wednesday 25 September.
We require help from any willing parents to assist with cooking and serving pasta to all the students - please let us know if you are available!
Thank you to the families who have settled their Term 3 school fee accounts.
A reminder that Term 3 fees are now overdue, unless paying by regular instalments.
If you require any further information in relation to your school fees, or would like more information on your payment options including calculation of weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments, please send me an email to susan.rowell@cg.catholic.edu.au and I will be happy to help. I am in the office from Tuesday to Friday each week.
Kind regards
Susan Rowell
We are after a short act for our Twilight Fete on Friday 22 November from 4.00-8.00pm.
Please help us out by volunteering those hidden talents or by suggesting someone you know of who might be willing to help out.
We are not only looking for musicians, we are happy to have a wide range of talents and acts perform on the day. Please note this is not paid work.
Please contact sandy.matthews@bigpond.com or office.stfranciscalwell@cg.catholic.edu.au if you can help.
With the change of seasons upon us, we are finding a lot of lost property around the school.
Please ensure your child's clothing is clearly labelled so that it can be returned easily if found. Items with no name will be donated to the clothing pool.
A reminder that our clothing pool is staffed by parent volunteers and is open at the following times:
Wednesday mornings 8.30-9.15am
Friday afternoons 3.00-3.30pm
Musicorp at St Francis of Assisi
Musicorp students at St Francis of Assisi learn a range of instruments.
Students are busy working on group songs including Young Blood, Yellow, the Star Wars Theme and Old Town Road, which they hope to perform at the end of year concert.
We would like to make a special mention to the woodwind group who have all made outstanding progress with their instruments.
We are always looking for more students to join in on the fun and learn an instrument at school. If you would like more information regarding the program, please contact Musicorp on 1300 858 911.
