Our Feast Day is next Wednesday 25 September!
Please join our celebrations at Mass at 9:30am.
We will also farewell Father Praveen after Mass.
The Mission Market is being held between recess and lunch where children can bring money (silver coins) to purchase products and activities.
Please send in coins with your children next Wednesday.
We are still needing parents to help cook pasta lunch for all the children from 10 am. Please let us know if you can help out on the day.
4 Fire Mass Reflection
On Wednesday, it was a bright spring morning when 4 Fire went to Mass at the Sacred Heart Church. Father Praveen led us in a peaceful and relaxing Mass.
In his homily, Father told us we should be open to God’s love. He reminded us that if we’re closed we still have God’s love, but we don’t receive it. He also asked about how we felt and changed when we received the Holy Communion. At the end of the Mass, some of us accepted the Body of Christ and the others received a blessing.
Luca - I enjoyed when Father Praveen asked us about our experience receiving our First Eucharist.
Natalie - I liked learning more about Holy Communion.
Amelia - When I received the Body of Christ it felt more comfortable, because I had already done it before.
Beau - When I got blessed I felt happy and warm.
Imogen - The main message I took away from the Mass was that we should all be open to God’s love.
Chloe - I learned that when we are open to God we receive Him, but when we are closed we don’t receive Him, but he still loves us.

2019 NAPLAN results are coming home soon with the Year 3 and Year 5 students who sat NAPLAN earlier this year.
Please ensure you keep these documents in a safe place.
Year 5 students will need their NAPLAN results to accompany high school enrolments next year so it is important that you are able to access them quickly and easily when needed.
There will be no lunch orders next Wednesday 25 September as all students will be receiving a free pasta lunch for St Francis of Assisi Feast Day.
We will be selling our usual over the counter items as well as lollies ranging in price from 20c to $1.50.
The roster for help in the canteen will be going out next week, if you would like to help out please let us know.

Dear families
Thank you to all families who have settled their Term 3 school fee accounts. A reminder that Term 3 school fees are now overdue unless paying by instalments and payment as soon as possible is much appreciated.
Please give me a call or send me an email if you would like to discuss your school fee account and payment options.
Kind regards

Mr Smith takes on the Hartley Cycle Challenge
I would like to ask for your help!
I’m taking part in The Hartley Cycle Challenge to raise funds so that Hartley Lifecare can continue to help people with physical and complex disabilities in our local community.
I am going to join 260 other cyclists and ride 450km from Canberra to Mount Kosciusko to complete this challenge and I would be so grateful if you could please help me make a difference and donate to my fundraising page https://www.hartley.org.au/fundraisers/mattsmith
All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you'll receive a receipt via email.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Best wishes,
Matt Smith
