Community Council Elections - Nominations closing tomorrow!
A reminder that nominations for the St Francis of Assisi Community Council close at 3.00pm tomorrow, Friday 22 November 2019.
Due to constitutional requirements, six positions on the Executive of the Community Council are vacant from 2020. We are therefore calling for nominations – any parent in the school community is eligible to nominate.
What Does the Community Council do?
The Community Council works with the Principal, Parish Priest, staff and parish within the mission of Catholic education to develop and monitor policies and procedures in the running of the school. This includes monitoring the school-based budget, setting internal policies, promoting the school and ensuring maintenance and upkeep of the school assets. Meetings are held twice a term.
How to Nominate
Each nomination must be made on the attached form. The nomination must be seconded and agreed to by the person being nominated. If more than six nominations are received, an election will be held. If only six nominations are received, those people will be declared elected. The persons will be elected for a two-year term.
All nominations are confidential. Attached below is a Community Council Nomination Form' and hard copies will be sent home to all families.
Please send nominations addressed to Mrs Kate Markcrow in a sealed envelope labelled ‘Community Council Nomination’ by 3pm on Friday, 22nd November 2019. All nominations will be placed in a sealed box and will be opened by Father James, our Parish Priest and myself. If you require further information, please feel free to contact me at school on 6292 4500. I encourage parents to consider this important role within the school.
Fete Raffle Tickets are now due back to the front office together with money for the tickets sold.
As this is a registered raffle we must account for all tickets. If you have misplaced your book of tickets please come and fill out at Stat Dec at the front office so we can mark you off the list.

Thank you for your support of our Fete Raffle this year!
