A reminder that tomorrow, Friday 28 May, is the St Francis of Assisi Primary School Photo Day.
All students should come to school in their full winter uniform. No sports uniform on this day please.
There is currently a shortage of boys school ties - if you have a spare that you can send to school for use by students without a tie, it would be much appreciated.
If you have any payment or ordering queries, or require a shoot key, please call MSP Photography on 6255 9208 or email canberra.office@msp.com.au.
Sibling photo envelopes and spare envelopes are available at the front office.
On Wednesday 28 April, Lily Young and Chloe Smith represented our school and the Tuggeranong region at the School Sport ACT Swimming Championships at Stromlo Leisure Centre. The program included 50m and 100m in the 4 strokes, 200m Individual Medley and the 200m Freestyle.
Lily won all her seven swimming events and broke the ACT 50m backstroke record for Under 11s. Chloe came 2nd in the 100m and 50m breaststroke, 4th in the 200m Individual Medley and the 200m Freestyle.
The School Sport ACT Swimming Championships is the selection carnival to form the ACT Swimming Team for the School Nationals to be held later in the year, as the top four swimmers from each event qualify.
Both Lily and Chloe have qualified and we wish them all the best at nationals.
Congraulations Lily and Chloe on your achievements!
St Francis of Assisi Primary School is again offering an Australian program called Seasons for Growth, which supports participants who have experienced change in their family because of a death, separation or divorce. This program, which is designed by Good Grief and the Southern Cross University, explores issues such as change, loss, managing feelings, coping strategies and support networks.
Seasons for Growth is an eight session program which will be facilitated during school hours in Term 3 by staff who are trained Companions. It will conclude with an additional Celebration session.
For more information and to access the enrolment form, please see the document attached below.

Thank you for your continued support as we implement the new Compass attendance system from Catholic Education.
School starts at 8.55am and if your child/ren arrive late you will need to sign them in at the Front Office via the Compass Kiosk. Please ensure your child/ren takes an orange 'Late Sign In' card to give to their teacher after being signed in.
If departing early, please sign your child/ren out at the Front Office via the Compass Kiosk and hand a purple 'Leaving Early' card to the classroom teacher.
Please support our Front Office staff who are doing their best to assist you and implement new system procedures.
We appreciate any feedback via email, which we will forward to Catholic Education where appropriate.
During enrolment time, we begin planning for staffing and class numbers for 2022. If you are planning for your child to leave St Francis of Assisi Primary School at the end of this year, we ask that you notify us by emailing office.stfranciscalwell@cg.catholic.edu.au. Year 6 leavers need not respond to this request.
